Elliot Sokolov has composed the score for the groundbreaking documentary feature film "KINGS PARK: Stories From An Am erican Mental Institution".

What People Are Saying About Kings Park:
"When the credits ended and the house lights came on the audience sat in stunned silence. After a few seconds there was a scattered applause, which grew into a thunderous roar. Kings Park is an extraordinarily powerful film - or three films - superbly tiered with each poignant and insightful."
-Stewart Nusbaumer, Filmmaker Magazine

  Intimate Portrait: Eve (Video)

Original Music by Elliot Sokolov. "Intimate Portrait: Eve" tells the Old Testament story of Eve in the Garden of Eden from a feminist perspective. Eve, one of the most notorious figures of all time, is often portrayed as a disobedient, sinful woman, one easily seduced by the serpent of temptation, and a negative influence on her husband, Adam. Narrated by Betty Buckley, this Lifetime program offers a fresh perspective. Rather than a beguiler, Eve is presented as a brave woman, hungry for adventure and a deeper experience beyond the confines of peaceful Eden. Cast out of the garden, she evolves into a pioneer. Via dramatizations and scholarly commentary, this innovative episode redefines an archetype.

  UNHCR spot featuring Khaled Hosseini

Elliot Sokolov has provided music for 2 PSA's which can be seen on the web.

The spots, produced by Wildlight Productions, feature Khaled Hosseini, author of the internationally best-selling novel "The Kite Runner", and who is now an envoy for the UN Refugee Agency. Earlier this year, Hosseini visited UNHCR camps in eastern Chad where some 240,000 refugees from Darfur are sheltered. The trip was the result of his desire to see first-hand one of UNHCR’s most complex operations and to bring wider attention to the Darfur crisis.

from a review of the concert:
"Composer Elliot Sokolov conducted his own Almanac for organ, brass trio and percussion, a three movement piece with a brooding, fitful slow movement between flashing, pulsating episodes of inventive coloration and dynamic thrust. A firm, intense performance, warmly received."

Willow CD on CDBaby & iTunes Music Store

Listen to or buy the new CD by WILLOW, a "neo-retro" rock band featuring Elliot's lead guitar playing and his production work, as well as his songs "Shine On Through" and "Restless Love".
It can also be downloaded for your iPod from the iTunes Music Store, where a recently posted review says:
"This is a great indie album by a relatively unknown group in the NYC area. The sound is very classic rock, a bit of fusion between various styles that is reminiscent of the Jefferson Airplane/Starship at their mid-70s peak (Check out the rock stompers "With You In My Eyes", "Shine On Through", and "Sara"). The songs by E. Sokolov in particular are catchy and easy on the ears..." "The production is very confident and lush, the songs are infectious, and the whole package leaves you eager to know more about this band..."
